The location is fab. The hotel is quirky, clean and warm. The beds are comfy and the staff are lovely. Some touches like the coffee pods and communal coffee machine are great. But…..the location means a reasonable amount of street noise. If you are a heavy sleeper, it won’t bother you. But if you are a light sleeper, you won’t like it. There is no lift so you have to carry your bags up the stairs. Not a problem to us but people with less mobility would struggle. The separation between the bedroom and bathroom is a sliding piece of glass. There is a lack of 100% privacy so make sure this wouldn’t bother you!! I am glad to have stayed here as it’s so different and the location couldn’t be any better. I’m a deep sleeper so the noise didn’t bother me. But you could have your stay ruined if you’re kept awake.

This is a small boutique hotel in the historical area. It was very quiet. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. There is no elevator so that could be a problem if you have large bags or mobility issues. Convenient to the metro (5 minute walk) Casco Viejo station and a bus ride from the airport.

Ett fint hotell med stort rum, två vuxna och vår tonårsdotter. Fint inrett i äldre stil, renoverat badrum som även det var stort. Beläget i gamla stan. Servicen och bemötandet var mycket bra! Jättetrevlig personal och bra läge på hotellet. Kan varmt rekommendera detta, prisvärt. Det enda negativa är att det ligger nära några barer där det på sen kväll/ natt var hög ljudnivå. Vi sov dock bra ändå. Hotellet tillhandahåller också öronproppar, troligen för detta! Men jag och vi kommer gärna tillbaka till hotellet!

Stayed in the basque room. Nice enough and a good location in the old town. Service was good and friendly staff. The room is a bit small and no where to easily put the case, that said the price is good value given the location

Good location in old town. Was concerned about the amount of noise mentioned in reviews but was not an issue. A fridge would be a good addition as would a mirror outwith the bathroom.

Only stay here if you have no wish to sleep. It is in an incredibly noisy area. The only sleep we got was from 8-10 am and when we asked for some extra time to check out we were told no. I would definitely not stay here again.

Excellent location. Very comfortable room with a good bathroom. Considering the position, not particularly noisy. Lovely, helpful and professional staff. Breakfast would be a good addition, but stacks of places to eat very close by. The Athletic Bilbao bar across the street is worth a visit.

Cannot fault the hotel the staff were really nice and helpful never stayed at a hotel with hair straighteners (ghd) in the room and a area thats has coffee making facilities and a clothes rail full of traditional Basque clothing to try on and take pictures . Beds are very comfortable and the room design is really different.Right in the middle of the bars and restaurants . 5 minutes walk from the tram station (Ribera) which can get you around the city for €1.50 a trip or a day ticket €10 Next we go to we will staying .

Met up with old S African friends walking trip. We stayed first night 25 June and now in return. Perfect position - Soo easy to get back to if you have no sense of direction like me. Fantastic rooms and gr8 staff. We met 3 all of whom spoke English and were motivated to help. Right in thick of life food acres to whole town team and metro. River a great landmark Easy cheap tram bus to Santander. Def recommend it but you really need to book ahead else will be disappointed. Absolutely no complaints.

Best position in the old town, secure, safe, lovely comfortable room, exceptionally clean, everything catered for, needed an Iron and it was supplied, GHD straighterners, ear plugs, coffee machine in main area, staff amazing, Vicky was so helpful, highly recommended.

What a great place to stay. Easy to find and access. Lovely staff. The location could not have been better. Loved it.

The place was a great location.Staff were nice and it was easy to access.We were however in a room that was right opposite the loudest corner of the old town. Although they offered earplugs it was to loud and I often did it sleep till 2am.So if you want a quieter sleep I would recommend requestoing a room at the back of the floor.The temperature was a bit difficult as the rooms got cold in December and wp the systems are connected.Also a coffee nd yes area in the room would be nice and a pleasant touch. For the price I think that should be accessible in room Hanging space and better tanleij he room t place your clothes and things on

The late night crowd noise wasn’t too bad because it became white noise like a beehive, however when the bars close the individual shouts and voices become clear between 3-5 am. And then the glass recycle trunk begins its route from 6-8am.

Wonderfull place to be. Beside the Sound of the showering neighbour 😁
