Get started
Open the BankofAmerica® Mobile Banking app. Sign in and tap"Pay & Transfer," then Zelle® and follow the on-screen instructions.
You can also add the BankofAmerica widget to your home screen to link straight to your contacts, giving you fast, direct access to send and request money.
No matter where they bank in the U.S., you'll know if your friends and family are already using Zelle® - just look for the purple z next to their contact.
Zelle® QR Codes in our app
To send money:
- Tap the QR code icon next to the search bar to open your device’s camera.
- Scan their QR code to easily get the contact information without having to manually enter it. Confirm and send.
Plus, you can also share your unique QR code if someone is paying you back with Zelle®. It’s easy.
Send money
Need to pay the sitter, or your share of a group gift?
- Tap "Pay & Transfer" then "Zelle®," and "Send."
- Select your recipient
- Enter the amount and select your funding account.
- Include an optional note and tap "Send Money."
Receive money
Enroll your U.S. mobile number or email address, and the money will be sent directly into your BankofAmerica® account. You’ll receive the money in minutes.1
- Tap "Pay & Transfer"then "Zelle®."
- Then tap "Settings" and follow the instructions.
- Check your text messages or email for a one-time code, so we can confirm it’s you.
- Next time someone sends you money, it will be available in your account within minutes.1
Important information about paymentscams
- We will never call and ask you to send money using Zelle to yourself or anyone.
- We will never contact you via phone or text to ask for a security code.
- We will never reach out to you and ask you to send money or provide a code. If someone unfamiliar to you does this, it's likely a scam.
Treat Zelle® payments like cash — once you send money, you're unlikely to get it back.
